I have a ranger 2950 dx and bought a 4 pin to 6 pin adapter the D104m6b 4 pin wired for cobra/uniden ..pluged the adapter into the mic and radio, turned the radio on and........................the chanels roll like a scanner some how the adapter must key the pin for the up chanel button. The adapter is not a bad idea if it worked.
Ever try these.????

Hi!
I have a RCI-2950DX, and I use a 4 pin to 6 pin adaptor to test/try mics on it, and it works fine for me. I have the older, green face model radio. The reason I got the adaptor is to check mics super quick, like at Ham Swaps, etc., before buying them. (alot of mics are wired for the 4 pin, like Cobra, etc.) I never had to rewire the adaptor, it was fine when I got it. Maybe there's a wire, or a bit of solder loose in the adaptor. . I hope you have luck with it. Help this helps! 73's ...Bob 820
