I have a 2950 that just died last week. It worked fine for years, but the other day I turned it on and got nothing. The LCD is completely dead, no lights on the front, nothing happens when you key the mic. However when it is turned on I can hear a very faint 'white noise' coming from the speaker.

I tried a different power supply to eliminate that , and have the same issue.

I suspect the problem is with the CPU board. I did find a schematic online, but it appears to be for an older version which had a battery. The board in my radio has no battery. I believe it keeps the memory with Capacitors.

Does anyone have any suggestions or can point me to a schematic for the CPU in this radio (without the battery).
Thanks
