Greetings! I am the proud owner of the 350HDV and was wondering what the max input drive to allow the 350 to work at it's peak output. My swr is 1.2 as measured by an MFJ analyzer. I have looked at the EX specs and cant really tell any difference between the EX and DX versions other than the EX and DX prefix on the model name. I love the 350, and plan to get the 500 real soon. can anyone give me a heads up on this?

uually i use 20 watts max at pep
10 watts pep works ok also
no more than 2 watt dk though.
i burned out my variable using a
4 watt deadkey.so now i use the variable on radio to control the deadkey of amp usually
100 watt deadkey from amp with the green button out. or 2 watt dk max

Thanks Dale. I run a Magnum S3 with an RK56 on a Wilson 1000 mag mount and with it turned all the way down, I have 1/2 watt dk, 45 watt swing. That pushed the TS 350HDV to 100 watt dk. When I turn up the S3 to 3 watt dk, I get 150 watt dk on the TS. I really luv that amp. It gets busy for a 2 pill box. With the 3 watt dk, it also swings to 45 watts, so either way.. she works awesome.

I'm lookin forward to getting my TS 500V. I have used one in the past, that belonged to a friend and it was such an awesome clean amp.

3 watts swinging to 45.....huh
Leave variable off on the amplifier. Set your radio so that your amplifier has a carrier of 100-125 watts. You could see 300, my guess is it will be more like 250-280. Texas Star makes a great product, your gonna love that thing.
