Says it all. Radio works great other than no transmit at all on AM. Is this a common problem? |

sounds like the AM power regulator transistor. I believe it's a 2sc1419. It's mounted to the heatsink to the right/rear of the radio. This has happened to my friend's Madison. Same issue. good luck -Marc aka Little Ranger |

just fixed a washington with the same problem,,brownsmillsch18 is right!!!am power regulator was gone,,replaced it with d 1135,,, mitchell bluebird cef 398 cvc 113

I put in an NTE152 and it works great again. Thanks guys. |
