OK first let me say that this may have been asked already but this site doesn't allow people to organize the questions by topic or date so it’s a bit overwhelming.... Ok here is the deal, I have been "off the air" since 1989. I got bit by the bug (again) and began to purchase older/used radios. I bought a Cobra 2000 (with mod channels) and a D&A PDX-400. I'm still looking for advice for a antenna (hope to get multi band stick 10, 11, 20, 40) Cobra 148 for my small car (also with channels). I also have my tech ticket and going for my Gen in April. My 148 keys 2w swings to 14w, I will be running a Wilson 5000 trunk mount. What is the best "value" for a mobile linear? (IE: DX-350)Or will the savings on a DX-250 show the same reach (distance * S-Units)? For the mobile I am also looking into getting DOSY FC50 Freq counter to follow where I am. (In case you’re wondering why I bought the radios I did, they were the same type I owned back in the day & love their look).

Thanks for your help
