My old 99 died and me along with 3 other techs gave up on it. It was made in Malaysia and was one big cold solder joint after another.
I got another 99 (Used of course but in great condition)and this one was made in Taiwan. I've never seen an 99 from Tiawan before.
Are the boards and solder joints any better in the Taiwan ones?
So far the audio is not as loud as my other 99. Is this a trait for the Taiwan radios? Can it be tuned up to be as loud and clean as my other 99? |
