Hello all.
I have a Uniden Grant XL. It recieves great and my swr is fine. But when the mike is keyed it pegs the meter and no audio is heard no matter what the settings are at. The Hi/Lo switch and the Bight/Dim switch do not function on AM but seem to have some other function than what they are when the radio is in LSB and USB. I dont want trash this unit and would like to have it back to its original condition and maybe a cosmetic update.
Can anybody reccomend where to go and who to fix it?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

The Hi/Lo and Bright/Dim switches were often used to add channels to this radio. Don't know about the key up problem, could be lots of things including a bad or incorrect wired mike. |
