I installed a Astatic ASTEB1 Echo Board in a Cobra 29LTD BT, everything seems to work fine, no squeel or hum. But when I have the squelch open some to hear distant signals, the audio will fade out like a echo until there is no audio, if a strong signal breaks the squelch I can hear that, I can key the mic and it does it all over again. Is this a common problem? I have the echo board connected as follows. shield wires from echo board to mic shield Pin 1, echo board input from mic plug pin 2, echo board output to audio wire that was connected to pin 2, brown +8-18V wire at + power input plug, black negative wire not connected. I noticed if I turned off the ANL/NB it stopped.
