I have a cobra 29 ltd classic it has no carrier no modge and no receive but the red light comes on the radio when you key the mic any help or info will greatly be appreciated.

Aaron;
Here is a simular problem and repair on the Cobra 19 Plus:
Locate C-54 near the main PLL chip
it's a 1uf 20 volt tantalum capacitor. Replace with a 1uf 35 volt tantalum cap. You may need to tweak the VCO to get all 40 back.
This may not be the same chassis but it may be worth looking at.
Cobra 29 LTD check C-119
Cobra 25 LTD check C-118
Cobra 25 LTD Classic check R89 15 ohm 1/2watt replace with 15 ohm 1 watt

This may sound like mr. obvious, but... have you checked out your mike wire for opens? |
