picked up this cb over labor day just
now getting time to fiddle wth it and results
werent good.
RF POWER= less than 1/2 dk with little swing if any
RECIEVE=seemsvery low but does function
put it in my mobile and was talking only about
.2 miles back to my base using a monkeymade mm9 antenna
so what is wrong with this radio?is it too far gone to fix? was given to me so i have nothing
invested into yet

Ok 1/2w dead key is most likely driver power so sounds like final gone as for the rx it could just be needing realigned or perhaps component failure somewhere , just a possibility have you checked the solder joints at the antenna socket ?
Try realigning both the tx and rx if the solder joints are ok then take it from there , better to get a service manual so you can check the voltages on the transistors before you start replacing parts as it can get costly that way.
