I have a used 2995DX.Everything works as it should exept with a another reciever near by you can hear a frying sound in the transmit audio even with the mic fully ccw and no mike installed,It seems to be coming from the pre driver area the c2314..This is the new type with the mosfet's.I have replaced all Mosfet's and the 2314..Still no luck..But i can lay my finger on the 2314 and the frying sound goes away..take my finger off and it's frying again.Very puzzled by this..And this is the only issue with the rig no mods or anything all stock..Thanks for any input on this matter..

Is the supply bus bypass cap open or missing?

Something is making very intermittent contact in the PA circuit. Could be one of the keying relays is dirty, could be a poor solder connection in the tank or PA.
