I also have an Astatic D-104 Gray Base mic that I'm trying to get wired up to my old National NCX-500.

Shield goes to the main shaft of the stereo plug
Tip is PTT Red
Audio + (white) goes to the ring between the 2

The radio requires a High Impedance (Un amplified D-104 etc) type Mic.

No I'm not a Tech,I just know enough to be a nuisance.
