I have a Cobra 2000 GTL, when first turned on in AM Mode for the first 90 seconds radio works fine. After that when radio is keyed up, transmit will pulse in and out in and out wattage drops out on pulse.
When in receive mode radio works fine.I changed the AM regulator with no improvement. I have never seen this problem. The TX has perfect timing just like windshield wipers, in out in out. Please help Thank you.

Sounds like a cap-------------check caps and diodes in driver or final bias. Time envolved job but recapping the radio won't hurt.
