I recently acquired a Cobra 142 GTL that worked beautifully. I turned it on two days ago and it worked fine on SSB but wouldn't receive or transmit on AM. What could cause the AM to stop working and leave the SSB ok ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Check the alignment first.
2. The radio may need to be recapped.
3. IC-3 could be bad.
