I just got a s-9 in very nice shape but don't understand how to set it up for all the channels I want to have from top to bottom all that it can do for channels I see the pins but don't understand how to use them to get all of the channels thanks for any help in advance

Look at Frequency Mod Sheet.

Just remember, there is no such thing as Extra Channels. If you get caught freebanding - you risk any chance you might have had at getting an amateur radio license somewhere down the road.

Most of the frequencies are occupied by the government or utility companies and can be heard for many miles beyond your location When using signal side band.

The so called channels in between the channels were designated for things like model airplane control, garage door openers etc..

When working AM it really doesn't matter anyways because some of those guys are 3 or 4 channels wide with their signal...
