MY 2995 can be set at 1/2 W DK and swing you know... I understand this is probably too much PEP for the TS 500 but it sure does make my meter go up.

The TS 500 is a class AB if I understand correctly, and shouldn't hit it with the 2995, can I run a Dave Made or Fatboy 4 pill class C with my 2995? What amp would be a good choice for my 2995 for <1KW swing?

Thanks,

Nighthawk

Personally, Id have someone put an on/off switch on the radio's internal amp. Then you could run the TS 500 without Killing It.

on ssb you can turn down ya rf power to bout 40-50 watts pep. and you,ll be fine. on am mode 1-2 watt dead key then lower mic gain so pep is no mre than 40-50. asuming ya only using a non powered mic.
other choice is a texas star 1600 and 1600v
