On my 2970Dx radio I can turn the volume as high as it will go but the audio coming out is still low and hard to hear in a moving vehicle |

Yup tried the external it seems to be in the function of the volume control. No matter what external speaker I have tried. On other radios I can turn them up fully and the volume will run you out of there but this 2970 DX you can barely hear it |

you can try to clean the volume control. possibly lube the control.

Steve get you a can of CRC (QD ELECTRONIC CLEANER) & spray you're volume knob and hopefully this will solve your problems |
