More information is needed to even begin to offer suggestions.

1) Does it light up?

2) When you say no receive, do you get the hiss from the speaker when the squelch is opened? Do you see any movement of the s-meter?

3) When trying to transmit, does the meter display any movement? Is this on AM or SSB?

4) If the radio has a PA and you plug a speaker into it, do you hear audio out when you key the mic and speak? This may sound strange, but it helps confirm if the audio stages are actually working.

5) If you plug a different radio into the same antenna and power, how does that radio behave?

There are other questions that could be asked, but these will do for a start/

Was just curious if this is the same radio you were wanting to remove talk back and put the echo board in. Im not trying to jump in ahead of some one just wandering if it worked before you thought about the mod and now it dont. Ive had more than my fair share of gremlins in my radio.Them darn metal eating termites.
Good luck
