Hi,my friend has a pre series 1994 ca series type cobra power mic that he is trying to wire to his cobra 2000gtl. The mic has 6 wires. 1 red for audio, 2 shield for shield, 3 blue is for receive , 4 white is for switching, 5 black is transmit. Brown wire cut off. This is the color code and sequence used to wire to the cobra 2000gtl radio. Radio transmits great, good modulation. Problem is receive sounds like your on FM. Tried another mic and no problem. Must be something I missed. Please can I pick your brain on this and assist me. Thank you. And advise is appreciated.. |
