Has anyone experienced the loss of carrier in AM and FM modes in this rig? The SSB modes work ok and when switched into AM or FM, and key-up, a carrier exists but drops off quickly to zero. The regulators are ok and I can talk on AM but it acts like SSB with the swing. The amp is bypassed. I am thinking it could be a capacitor...The VRs have no effect...any ideas?

It has to be the AM Power Regulator , Are you sure you tested them? It can't be the finals if all is ok on SSB...
