Ok Techs....here it is...

If you recall, I've asked a few questions about mods for my maddy. So far..we've unlocked the clarifier, and instead of going the normal route for channel expansion, we've wired in a Dosy auto scan directly into the chip, which also has taken care of my needs for a freq counter. This has opened the radio up for 26.005 through 27.995. One of my questions is about duplicate freqs. Do you think that with the way we did it we are likely to have some? and is this the maximum amount of channels I can get from the Maddy? ok, next. right now we key 3 and swing 15 on AM. I have heard rumors of people swinging these radios to 75 or 100 watts. now, I do wanna turn it up a bit, but only to a level that I can attain without doing long term damage to the unit.75 watts sounds like you may be asking for trouble. Your opinions? plus, If you think I can still crank it up a bit, I would need to know which to turn. Next, audio. With just a stock aftermarket mike, I am modulating well over 100 percent. I have a D104 TUG8 to hook up but I don't want to overdo it. I'm assuming that with over 100 mod + a D104 turned up all the way that I probably would sound like Darth Vader with a bad cold. Your thoughts?
coming soon..FM expansion. but that will come later in the project.
WHEW!!! thanks for the time you may put into my questions guys.
