Hey 307, I can across a SSB-140 that is dead well it lights up but has no rx or tx. Can you fix it? |

Hello there, sounds like you have trouble, well I hope you can get it repaired, I have one of those also. The radio is basically a Midland chasis based on the 02A pll chip which is easily modifiable for extra freq'a. Mine has not been modified other than opening up the mod and replacing burnt out bulbs for the 2 meters to usefully read. That radio has a really good recieve and is very sensative to low signal, if it is tuned and working properly. Hope you get it repaired 73's NNN0WAW/NNN0GAY8 US NAVY/MARINE CORPS MARS |

I have Telsat SSB-140 & its frequency modified. This was one of Lafayette's premier radios (I used to work at Lafayette here in NY). I used this radio until I had bought a Cobra 2000 GTL. Recieve section is pretty good as compared to other radios, but its no Cobra. Not a bad radio. |
