I have a cobra 2000 that everything works except for the amount of receive volume. It has lost approx 95% of the volume. The volume knob still adjust, but the volume amount is very limited. The meter still shows the proper amount of incoming signal, its just that you can barely hear them with the volume turned all the way up.
Appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

If the "Mod" meter is reading correct on TX with Audio , the de-coupling capacitor that is attatched to the Audio IC that feeds audio to the speaker is most likely bad. Can you hear the Squelch work?

Thanks for the input 307, to answer your question, the squelch does work. Will check or replace the de-coupling capacitor and get back with you. Thanks
