Hey 307! Do you know of any modifications for the Galaxy 2517? I have given some thought of buying one of the new 10 and 12 meter ranger radios. The galaxy 2517 is such a good radio I would like to find some way to add 12 meters to it. Isn't there a modification that will extend the fase loop to lower the frequency on down towards the
12 meter band. Any info or your opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou Eddie Springfield Ohio

You could change the the reference crystal however the PLL will most likely loose track on the lower end of 12 meters...I never tried...

if the radio has a mc145106 pll, i hear that jumping some of the unused pins could do it. of course you do so at your own risk and remember to retune the vco after wards. i had an excaliburssb, which could do 24something to 29 something.
