I have been kicking around rewiring from four [4] wire standard to five [5] wire mic cord. My thinking goes along these lines. 1. Mic is 10 years old and the wires are starting to give trouble 2. I have problems changing the battery due to lack of sight and dexterity. I would like to run the fifth wire from regulated 9 volts within the radio and eliminate the battery.
Does anyone see a problem with this idea? Also, would any one be interested in doing it? I live in Upstate New York and would pay time and shipping. Thank You

Ironmask,

This should be able to be done without any Major problems.

You will have to change the mic plug on the radio and also rewire the mic.

I live in IL so that is a little far from NY.

Can anyone out there that lives closer to Ironmask be of help?

If you do not get any replies from other Forum Members who live closer after a couple of days, Please e-mail me at my e-mail address below and I will be more than happy to do it for you.

You would have to ship Radio & Mic to me here in IL.

Hopefully someone a little bit closer can help you out.

If not drop me a note and there would be no charge for parts or labor.

Hope this helps!
