I have a RCI2950DX with the pigtail module installed to expand the frequencies. What would happen if I installed a jumper at jp1 or jp2 like the old 2950's whould it do anything to the frequencies? Right now it has nothing connected at these points. Just wondering, don't want to try it for fear of damage to the radio, nor do I wish anyone else to try it, I just want to know has anyone tried it and what did it do?

If you install the jumper on the two left pins and turn the radio on it will go down to 210000-296999. If you pull it off and reset your radio it will go back to 240000-320000. I installed an on/off switch on mine, one leg to each pin.Close the curcit, turn radio off and back on and you get 210000.Open the circiut, turn off and back on and you get 240000.Cool heh?!

Good question , I got one out and tried it. Depending on where the jumper is placed it will extend the range of 10 meters as well as 12 meters and that is it...

get a RMA# from RCI and ship it back for repairs RCI will bring it back to STOCK configuration and when you call them be HONEST with them why 12 meter doesnt work cause when they get it they will know LOL and honest in the note you attach with the radio so they dont forget when repairing it this will help them repair it properly cause some butcher ruined it
