I'm considering doing the NPC mod on my Euro 3900. I'm sure the board is the same as a SS 3900.

My first question is; does it affect SSB modulation too?

Next question,

The modification is the same as the VR 9000, right?

Thanks,
Znut

In addition, I would like to set the driver and final transistor bias as per the instructions in the VR 9000 mod. 50 milliamperes here too?

Thanks,
Znut

Znut,

50 ma bias to EACH of the finals, The final reading of 100ma is the TOTAL bias current for BOTH of the finals. 50ma for VR20 = 50ma for VR10 = 100ma TOTAL.

Yes Sir,

However, my Euro only has 1 final.

Also, the test points are SOLDERED to the mirror board. I'm gonna try to do these mods as long as everything goes like those VR 9000 ones.

Thonks,
Znut

Znut,
Not sure if the NPC mod will work with your Euro.

My suggestion would be to "NOT" try the NPC mod on it unless you hear from someone who has done it to a Euro.
