I have a 2510 that i been banging my head with.Has very low recieve.D126 was shorted and i replaced it.When hooked to signal generator L101 will not adjust receive signal hardly any at all. When L101 is adjusted all the way in,the signal come's up just a bar or so on the S-meter.L104,L113,and L115 will adjust recieve pretty good although they wont bring unit up to full recieve.I took my RF signal tracer and checked several place's.Although hard to pin point.I'm checking this radio blind sorta speak cause i dont a service mannual on it yet.I did notice however that when D146 was accidently shorted to ground, the signal came way up.So then i removed Q118 and checked recieve then.Recieve signal came way up there also.I replaced Q118 with a new one and recieve was low again.Radio does not transmit however due to a bad 477 final which i have to get.The PLL board aligned up just fine.Any suggestion's will greatly be appreciated as this radio is getting on my last nerve.Next step for me is to order a service mannual!!!!!
Thank's for any advice in advance!

try the front end transistor. i can remember times when cber would drive near truckers that had big linears and when they talked they would overload the recieve on a radio and ruin a fet transistor. hope this helps check the transistor then ...
