I could have sworn that when I got this radio it was dead keying around 30 and swinging 60-70. Now it is dead keying 15 swinging 30. Is something wrong or am I imagining things? I can remember taking readings when it was new because I was so impressed with the Copper tune up. Am I crazy or not. Radio is not a month old. Anyone with a dx2517 that can give me readings would be appreaciated. Thought this would be a good place to start if I did have a problem.
Thanks

30 watts swing is about right for these radios on most meters. The dead key is determined by how they are set inside, but about 12 to 15 watts maximum is normal on an accurate meter. All meters are not created equal however, I have one that will show them doing 40 to 50 watts swing. This has been my experience anyway. scrapiron

I must have been on the wrong scale. This radio does rock though. Thanks for the info.
