I recently got a Astatic d104 with a G base. I need info on wiring for a Cobra 25? I pulled the plug off the desk mike and I only have 3 wires counting the shield. The shield goes to pins 1 and 4, The brown or red goes to pin 2, and the clear on goes to pin 3. That is coming from the desk mike. From the Cobra I have the common Red, Black, White, and Shield. So if anyone can help I would appreciate it...

Thanks

Ceaz,

You will not be able to hook up the OLD STYLE G Stand to the 25.

With the Cobra 25 STOCK Wiring you need:

Pin ~ #1 Shield / Ground
Pin ~ #2 Audio
Pin ~ #3 Transmit
Pin ~ #4 Receive

Electronic Switching

You will need the TUG-8 or TUG-9 Stand.

Just not enough wires in the old G Stand.

Ceaz,

Most of the older G Base's were used on the radios that have the old PHONO type plug or the older radios like the Brownings and Trams & others that were made before the power mics became popular.

From the First Generation of Astatic Desk Mic's.
