Cobra 2000, everything looks good,
transmit and receive on upper and lower ssb
receive on am ,but no carrier or tramsmit.
need some help 307,

Cant remember what that is but it was the 1416 on the older ssb rigs. Its the 3 legged transistor for AM and not the ones in the back there finals, Let me get back to ya today I'll find out for sure which one it is and where it is.

It's TR41, part number 2SC1419, usually marked "C1419". It's bolted to the heat sink at the side of the circuit board, directly to the rear of the TA7222 audio power amp chip. The generic TIP3055 that RatShack used to sell is a decent replacement. If it has failed, be sure to check TR42, the 2SC945 transistor that drives it. It may also be damaged.

Thanks 2600 couldnt find my sams and got off late today, Those were just not a good part to last long in the cobra's or unidens. Just replaced some in a washington last night.
P.S. Like the digital display in the mark 3.
