I've got a texas star 350hdv and when you push the red button to turn it on the meter lights com on the relay clicks and the amp is keyed up and if you push the mike key it will put out. can anyone help or has had this problim if so, what can i do to get it working again. thanks for the help jake.

It happens a lot. The small, black 3-legged transistor that keys the relay when you transmit has overheated and shorted. Makes the relay click as soon as you push the Power button. It is located just to the rear of the relay on the circuit board. ECG159 works fine, or NTE159, depending on what you can find. The original number is PN2907A, but that's a hard one to buy just one at a time.
