Ok,..Here's what I THINK I'd like to set-up here as a base. DX77HML driving either a KLV350 or 450 Base amp. Now a tuned 77 will do well within the parameters of AM dead-key to drive the amp but what about the 35 watt swing in AM or what I've heard is a 55 watt swing in SSB. Are these a little high for these KLV's or does a tuned 77 need a high drive amp. I'd hate to see the amp blow just as I'm declaring absolute supremacy over 11-meters in my neighborhood. "I am Orion!, Great Lord of the 11-Met".hiss,crackle..silence. But seriously, I'm not a CB hooligan. I'd just like to reach out when conditions are right. What do you think?

The peak output of the 77 will be fine with the 350 or 400.

Thanks Tech 671. Now if I could just rationalize getting stuck with that tiny meter I'd be fine. At any rate, thanks for the reputable word. Peace of mind....priceless.
