Hey 307: Uniden Washington chops up on ch.11,12,13,14 and works fine on all the others. Any ideas to resolving the problem? I am thinking it could be a mixer crystal and if so which one?

No , it is not a crystal , most likely the VCO is in one of those strange areas that causes it , slightly move the VCO a little , only about 1/4 turn either way..This should do it. The VCO is L-13...Put a DC Meter on TP9 (right in front of L-13) , Put the radio on channel 40 and adjust L-13 for 5.0 volts...
