I am having a problem with my base amplifier,I been triying to find out the model # ,with no luck, there is no number anywere in this amp,My amp use 2 6KD6 tubes for drivers and 4 6KD6 tubes for finals with extternal power supply, aparently my power supply transformer is gone the 110 Vots. winding is in short.
I need help, were to find some substitute transformer in the US or schematics to check the voltages properly.
My amp is white with a blue srip line in the middle,1 needle meter, load and tune knobs, power, standby, preamp, high power and low power and am/ssb switches, made by Palomar Electronics Corporation.
I will really apreciate your help.

Thanks in advance.

Your amp is a palomar 300a, but don't know where you could find a transformer. You might try the auction sites, maybe find one without tubes at a decent price. One warning however, "2600" who answers questions on this forum, posted a while back that they made 2 different transformers for the 300a. I've owned them for 30 years, and didn't know that untill he posted, but I had ran into problems interchanging transformers on the 300a. scrapiron

You have a Palomar 300a. I send you a schematic and copy of a question from last July that gives some trouble shooting info.

Anyone know about a PAL 321 tube amp? I got one from a yard sale. It seems to work fine, but I can only get about 200 out of it!!

Thanks
