Hey 307: I have a friend that has a Galaxy Saturn radio and his frequency counter or his channel indicator lights will not light up. Can you help us? Thanks Alot and Keep Up The Good Work-------- Bluedog |

does it have voltage at the lights if so ya need new light bulbs |

No these are LED readouts on the freq. counter and channel display. No voltage to them. |

The 8 Volt regulator on the counter module usually has two diodes that are near it that go bad. The IC that they use to count ( Almost the same as the Cobra 2000 IC) takes a bit more than the rating on the diodes and tends to degrade over time. Replace the 8 volt regulator (LM7808) and both diodes (1N4001) in the counter module...It will light up again.. |

I'm having a similiar problem with an Galaxy 88, except that only the last digit on the counter fails to light. Would the above solution possibly help or is it more likely just the last digit is bad? Thanks. . . |
