Kd4amg,

HTX-100
PIN #1 ~ Microphone Input
PIN #2 ~ Push to Talk
PIN #3 ~ Scan Down
PIN #4 ~ Scan Up
PIN #5 ~ 8 volts
PIN #6 ~ Audio Out
PIN #7 ~ Microphone Ground
PIN #8 ~ GROUND

HTX 10 is suppossed to be like the Magnum 257
PIN #1 ~ AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ RECEIVE
PIN #3 ~ TRANSMIT
PIN #4 ~ SHIELD

As I have never worked on or wired any HTX-10 or HTX-100 radio's the above wiring I have listed is from my wiring books & manuals & information from others.

Try at your own risk!

thanks for trying, this rig has a 6 pin mike plug ( like a ranger 2950 ) however it will NOT recieve ( audio thru the speaker ) with the mike unplugged like a ranger 2950 will....so we will just have to guess and experiment...but I DO appreciate you trying any way... i dont think it will take much "trial & error " to figure it out, with the HELP of the 2 wiring diagrams you presented, they WILL help to get it narrowed down a lot...thanks !!

Kd4amg,

If you are talking about the HTX-10 you only need to use the 4 pins listed above for it to work, Not all 6 pins.

The wiring that Lon gave you for the HTX-100 IS correct.

The HTX-10 wiring is also correct. I have wired both of these radios on numerous occasions.
