Do you have a carrier on sideband even if it is only a watt? I have seen this before and it is really weird but it was a combination of the Bias on the Final/Driver and the Carrier Balance control being out-of-whack. I found it by accident when I realized I had a slight carrier on SSB. When I went to remove the carrier with the carrier balance control the final took off in an oscillation and it blew. This may be your trouble as well.

you think the final bais and the driver bais is off,all i can tell you is the meter lights blink when i talk on ssb and after 10 minutes the 2sc1969 is gone, how should they be adjusted? and i tried adjusting my SSB power either way i turn it it swings 35 or 40 watts,do these ajustments have to be made by a radio shop? thanks ohh no carrier on ssb, same as dead key right. thanks

Unfortunatly , this is a CB shop job , There is something bigger than a quick fix...
