Hi, Does anyone know how to unlock the clarifier on the Galaxy Melaka..? Also How to turn up the modulation? and how much to turn? . Also how to put a 10kc switch in to get the alpha channels..?
How to turn up Am power And ssb Power..? Thankyou Novice here all and any help is much apprecieted Thankyou Rich 73's

To unlock the Clarifier, check your board, make sure it reads EPT360014B, if it does then

1. Remove R141
2. Remove D38
3. Solder bridge J106 pin 54 to 8 volts

you might need to do some retuning on your frequency just a bit to put it back on center too.

that clarifier mod is for galaxy 77,88,99 not for melaka.

I have a Melaka and it's the same EPT . . . check your board for the number EPT360014B, then look up the EPT for the 77,88,99... or the 33 for that matter which that is what the Melaka is, besides...I talked directly to Galaxy and that's what they told me to do, gave me that same link, call them if you do not believe me or check with 307!!! DUH

For the freq mod open up the radio. On the bottom side of tha main board near the front, there is a jumper wire soldered to the board. One end is soldered to board ground and the other end is soldered across two pins. Remove this wire and remove the short between the two pins.

VR14 is Modulation
VR13 is AM Power
VR12 is SSB Power
