can anyone help me on the wireing code. my turner plus 3 has a red white shield and black. i want to wire it to a cobra 2000 gtl 5 pin jack

I believe this should work

1..white
2..shield
3..red
4......
5.. black

Diagrams printed online showing wiring for this mike are incorrect.

There were 2 versions of Turner wiring, the above is for the older 3 wire Turner models with a shield.

The below is for the later Turner models which used 5 wires and a shield

1..white
2..shield & red
3..black
4........
5..blue

yellow not used

To me it looks like that with the 6 wire Turners the red wire could go on pin 4, because pin 4 is the floating ground when using a 5 or 6 wire microphone, although it's strange that they would make the transmit wire blue. Because every other Turner the transmit wire is black, but of course that's Turner just trying to confuse things.
