I dont have all the data in front of me, but I wondered if I could get some Technical guidance on the differences between the 2 rigs. I have had both and am wondering if there are any major stability issues in the 2000 or the Lincoln for that matter. Both have been sound rig in the past but barring any bells and whistles, performance wise (and keeping wattage output out of the equation), does one have a greater advantage over the other. AND, if I chose a 2000, can I still get parts somewhere? I know this is a little vague, but would prefer just some general guidance from a technical perspective.--73

Hi Kirk. How ya been?

Look at it this way. The 2000 was designed for the CBer and is nothing more than a Cobra-148 in a pretty box. The President HR-2510 was designed as a true HF entry level Ham radio.

In my opinion, when the Lincoln was offered, it's minor changes were hardly worth the bother that justified a name change from HR-2510 to Lincoln.

Your Lincoln is a far better SSB performer than any Cobra-2000 could ever hope to be. I'm not taking anything away from the 2000 because I know very well what a great CB radio it is, but think about this my friend, what sideband CB radio out there is blowing the doors off of any HF Ham radio?

Later Kirt.

Jeff.
