I have a Kenwood TS-930S rig that I just picked up.....The radio has been altered on SSB power for a amp......It's only swinging between 15 to 30w with processor off and 50 to 60w with it on.....The manual says it has a 250w PEP....I only wanted to run about 80 to 100w......Is there a variable in radio to kick it up???? Any input would help me out......thanks |

Sounds like a bad resistor on the bottom of the finals. Have had this problem with radios with tube finals before. I'd check there first. Tony, N5JVA |
