I have a Galaxy 2527 that skips channels or jumps channels backwards when using the rotary dial to change channels or frequencies. Could this be as simple as cleaning the selector with contact cleaner or do I have a more serious problem? Is this a common problem with 2527's? Any ideas would be helpful.

thats a common problem with all radios using this type of selector, cleaning the selector with contact/electrical or even rubbing alcohol usually fixes the problem.
