Sometimes when I key up my 2980 theres no modulation very little if any. People say my signal is strong and it shows a powerful dead key like its suppose to when this happens. theres times when I just turn the radio on it does this and theres times i'll be talking and it will do it. Help please. |

cold solder joint on the am modulation driver it sounds like!!! resolder tr 51 it is a 3 legged transister. heck while your in there resolder everything i do this with every export i get due to poor quality soldering jobs!! oh and check your mike make sure your not pulling on it to hard as it will pull and short with aka no modulation. good luck!! |
