which crystal should i take out on the selector to hook up the VFO...and or any other way to hook it to it....baffeled in texas haha

514, you don't need the siltronix 90 vfo on that tram, it has one already, you just need to convert it so the vfo moves the tx and rx. It's fairly simple, I don't have the information handy, but sure you can find it on the internet. The information might have been posted here already, do a 'seach' from the left hand column on this page.

this should hook up the same as the glenn vfo the teck at copper should be able to tell you better than i can, have had both didnt like them, still running mine stock if i need a lower freq. or a higer freq. just retuned the radio to get there.if the radio is still stock there is a mod for this to wire the vfo in the radio itself for tx and rx let me know if you need help for this. i'll have to dig out my old mods for this.e-mail me at rjsmith @ asde.net copper should have this also

There are different model 90 VFO's too. Scrap iron I think he's using the older one not the 201a with built in vfo. Clark whick one you have TRAM and VFO. VFO's are like A through D I think.

I believe the d201 and d201a are the same except the d-201a is 40 channel.

You know I got a dang sams on one if I could find it in all this paper work. Im getting to forget full like my ole elmer used to tell "I forgot more than most know" Its been one of those weeks changing shifts had a 10 day straight work week.

The siltronix vfo 80 and 90 came in 7 different models, they had a little sticker on the back numbered 1 thur 7. I've got a picture from an old advertisment that gives some radios each model will work on, I'll post that next, I can't seem to get a message and a pic to post together, probably an oldtimers thing.
