Hello, is it possible to install a 10k switch in this base to recive the alpha channels?

Michael,
For the freq mod open up the radio. On the bottom side of tha main board near the front, there is a jumper wire soldered to the board. One end is soldered to board ground and the other end is soldered across two pins. Remove this wire and remove the short between the two pins.
VR14 is Modulation
VR13 is AM Power
VR12 is SSB Power

I have several questions:
What does the peak & tune do to the galaxy melaka base? what are its wattage outputs afterwords? do you open up the clarifier? do you sell a frequency counter that will work with the galaxy melaka? I have a klv-550 base amp that I want to run the melaka with, after the melaka has received the peak&tune, will it run the klv-550 base amp ok and not to hard?

Hi ALL, in regards to the Galaxy Melaka radio.
I adjusted the AM power to full output by turning it clockwise (the right) but when adjusting the SSB and speaking a steady "Audio" into the
mic I couldn't see the power reading on my meter increase or decrease as I adjusted the SSB.
So I guess my question to you is: If the AM power was increased by turning clockwise would it be logical to assume the by turning the SSB
clockwise I am also increasing power?
I feel a little silly even asking but I've never run accross this
problem before.

i have a gallexy maleka and i was trying to hook up a roger beep and it did not work so i took it out and now i cant get recieve on it only close distance what can i do to get it back i need the wire digram for the mic plug and colar code if you can help me please write to me at T_nickell@hotmail.com thank you. |

I ordered a Maleka and also the conversion. I have heard tht some of the Melakas have cold soder joints in the I assume that after the conversion is done I wont have that prob. Also if you would send me the 10kc mod I would appreciate it

I know a friend that got one an had to touch up several cold joint, on the on off switch and the mode switch. Now this is second hand info ok? I am sure that I will have no probs.
