I have a Echo Max 2000 mic hooked up to my 2995dx. With the roger beep off on the radio and on , on the mic the radio skips up a channel when I key the mic. When it is off on the mic and on ,on the radio it doesnt do this

Any ideas??

Hi RD,
Somehow the mic must be sending the radio a small stray voltage spike, and the radio interpets that as a channel up command. Check out the mic plug soldering job, it could be shorting out a pin. Hope that helps.
BTW, Hope your healing well.

I don't have a clue what would cause that but I run a 2990dx with a Sadelta echo master plus mic and when i only run the single tone beep in the radio it does fine. When I only run the dual tone beep in the mic it also does fine. But when I run both of them either the radio beep cancels out or the last tone on the mic cancels out. Just swaps out!!

Radiodude,

Check the Mic Plug and make sure Nothing is Touching or Shorting out,
Mic
Pin #5 Channel DOWN or
Pin #6 Channel UP

BOTH PINS SHOULD BE OPEN / NO CONNECTONS

If these are ok then the problem is with the Echo Max 2000 not the radio.

Hope this help's
