I was Wondering What you all thought About the Cobra 1000 Base... I Can Buy it for $100.. I am Pretty Sure the Guy wouldn't Mess Me around on it i just wanna know what you all think about it

If it has the external speaker the speaker is worth 40.00, they were good AM 40 channel radio's. I had one, made to model after the cobra 2000 ssb radio. Think it has the same board as a cobra 29gtl.

They look great, but it's still a Cobra 29 in a large box with a power pack and clock. And 20-plus years of age issues.

A hundred bucks would get you a newer 29 and a power pack, easy. And clocks are cheap these days.

go treat yourself to a 2000 like i am doing, you won't be sorry! 1000's have no sideband!
