Will it have good effect or will it disable the noise blanker and is there any reviews of the c.g. in the forum or step by step insructions to install one?Bigbob |

Bigbob, Yes, it will have a Good Effect in the DX2517. The DX2517 takes the 10.695 MHz AM/SSB Channel Guard. I do not have a Review posted on it but I have put 100's in over the Year's, and everyone has always like the results. Ironmask should be able to let you know what he think's of them as I have put several in his radios and his friends in the last year or so. Ironmask had a Major problem with bleed over being less that 1/8 mile from a truck stop in NY. Instalation for your DX2517 is pretty straight forward, but on some radio's the wires go into Very Tight / Close areas. I am sure you would have No Problem installing it, just take your time. You would "REMOVE" C61 and add wires from CG Board, "IN" Wire goes to = L8, "OUT" Wire goes to = L9/C62 I believe for your Model the DX2517 it will not disable the Noise Blanker in Radio. Direction's come with all CG Kits covering most models of radios. Hope this helps. Lon Tech808 |

that board sounds like a dx-959 ? i wonder lon how close are they? i agree the channelguard works well......i just wish he had a multipole filter one would be nice.... Note! Yes Bruce, the same for the DX43T, DX93T, DX2517, DX949, DX959, DX2547 and a Whole lot of other radios with the EPT6900 Board. Just different connectinig Points on other radios. Lon Tech808 |
