This radio does good on SSB dxing, will a speech processor enhance performance? Also does any1 kno of any mods or kits to clean up the RX- needs more adj channel rejection. Is ther a talk back mod for this radio? I'd hate to throw it in the ole "radio closet"

I use the SP-1A processor in my 2950 it works very well. I have heard them in 2510's same as your 5010 and they sound good. I have a couple SP-1A's if you have trouble finding one...

I agree install the channel guard and I also recommend you install the SP1-A in your radio. It's easy to install and it really does the trick. I have them in every radio I own.
